A Webinar on Methods to Increase Breast Milk was Held

Within the scope of the 1-7 October Breastfeeding Week, the "Methods to Increase Breast Milk" webinar was held on 09.10.2023 by the Midwifery Department of our Faculty. At the opening of the webinar, Associate Professor, Head of Midwifery Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Hacer YALNIZ DİLCEN stated that breastfeeding is the best form of nutrition that provides ideal growth and development for the baby and its cost is quite low. He also emphasized the theme of "Empower Working Parents" determined by the World Breastfeeding Organization for Breastfeeding Week 2023.

During the event, Dr. Emine Serap ÇAĞAN, a faculty member from the Midwifery Department of Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University Faculty of Health Sciences, delivered an engaging presentation on the topic "Methods to Increase Breast Milk Production." Mr. ÇAĞAN continued his speech by saying, “Breastfeeding makes a great contribution to the mother, the country and the family economy, as well as to the baby. “Breastfeeding is also critical for health, as well as for the environment, climate, economy and education, and the future of humanity.” He explained methods to increase breast milk with current literature and evidence-based interventions. The event, which attracted great interest from academicians, midwives, nurses and students, ended with answering the questions from the participants.
