An event was organized in Bartın 75th Year Nursing Home within the scope of Respect for the Elderly Week

Our faculty, within the scope of Elder Respect Week, organized an event on February 20, 2024, at the Bartın 75th Year Nursing Home to raise awareness about elderly individuals, emphasize their dignity and value in society, promote their increased participation in societal and cultural processes, inform students about the needs and rights of the growing elderly population, create social awareness, and facilitate effective interaction between students and the elderly. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Vocational School of Health Services at Bartın University, ensuring the participation of students from these units. Individual and group discussions were held with the elderly residents during the event, followed by a mini-concert performed by one of our students playing the guitar, concluding the visit.
