Bartın University Participated in Midwifery Education Research and Development Association NGO Strengthening Project Workshop within the scope of United Nations Population Fund Turkey 7th Country Program.

“Midwifery Education Research and Development (EBEARGE) Association Strengthening Project Workshop”, which is one of the project activities accepted by UNFPA within the scope of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Turkey 7th Country Program grant program of the Midwifery Education Research and Development (EBEARGE) Association, 26-27 March 2022 was held in Gümüldür/İzmir.

2018-2021 and 2021-2024 permanent and alternate Members of the Board of Directors and Auditors participated in the workshop, which was organized face to face by the Board of Directors of the Midwifery Education Research and Development Association, which was established in 2014 with the aim of improving the quality of midwifery education, conducting research on the midwifery profession and supporting research. UNFPA Turkey Reproductive Health Programs Coordinator Dr. A team of 17 people from 8 different cities, including academicians from Bartın University, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Ege University, İzmir Tınaztepe University, Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, Manisa Celal Bayar University, Mersin University, and midwives from state hospitals, took part in the workshop, in which Gökhan YILDIRIMKAYA was present. has received. One of the founding board members of the association, our University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Midwifery faculty member Dr. Instructor Member Yeliz ÇAKIR KOÇAK was invited to the workshop as the previous secretary of the board of directors and a substitute member of the supervisory board.

EBEARGE Association President Dr. Instructor After the opening speech by Ayşegül DÖNMEZ, UNFPA Reproductive Health Coordinator Dr. Gökhan YILDIRIMKAYA stated that within the framework of UNFPA's Sustainable Development Goals, it supports activities aimed at strengthening the midwifery profession, which contributes to health and quality life on a global scale, and that the workshop organized within the scope of the project has great value in this sense and will make concrete contributions to the future.

After the opening speeches at the workshop, the Consultant Yudum CURA provided training on Strategic Planning to the participants. The working groups formed within the scope of the training worked on the strategic plan of the association and the mission and vision of the association on the subjects of 'Organization in Midwifery, Research and Development in Midwifery, Education in Midwifery and Internationalization in Midwifery including our faculty member' and made their presentations to the workshop group. On the second day of the workshop, the strategic plans that the groups worked on, the mission and vision of the association and the three-year strategic plan were opened to the discussion of the whole group, and the general framework of the strategic plan of the association was drawn. After the workshop evaluation, participation certificates were given to the participants by the UNFPA Turkey representative.
