Informing and Health Screening was organized of Earthquake Victims For 1-7  April Week of Cancer and World Health Day on April 7.

The Faculty of Health Sciences came together with the earthquake victims affected by the earthquake in the Bartın Mehmet Rıfat Efendi Student Dormitory with the event organized within the scope of "April 1-7 Cancer Week" and "April 7 World Health Day". Program Health Sciences Faculty Deputy Dean Assoc. Dr. It started with the opening speech of Elif KARAHAN. At the event, a seminar on "Cancer, Cancer Types and Social Prevention from Cancer, Importance of Early Diagnosis, Secondary Prevention, Breast Cancer, Uterine Cancer and Colon Cancer Screening" was given by Specialist Nurse Derya Karakoyun, who works at the Bartın Provincial Health Directorate.

Information was given on how to get cancer screening done in our province of Bartın. Earthquake victims' questions were answered. Then, health screenings such as height, weight, body mass index, blood pressure, blood sugar measurement of adults and children were carried out with the faculty members of our faculty and the students of the Healthy Steps Club. Brochures of the Ministry of Health on cancer prevention were distributed in the event, which attracted great interest. We would like to thank all earthquake victims who participated in our event, Bartın Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports and our volunteer students.
