Training was held within the scope of 1-31 October Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In cooperation with the Faculty of Health Sciences, Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center and Disabled Student Unit Coordinatorship, an informative event was held for our university students and staff within the scope of the '1-31 October Breast Cancer Awareness Month' on Tuesday, 17 October at 10:30 in the Faculty of Education Conference Hall. The event started with the presentation of 'Breast Cancer' by  Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing Assoc Prof. Sibel ALTINTAŞ. In the presentation, information about the definition of breast cancer, its incidence, symptoms and the importance of early diagnosis was given. After the presentation, Research Assistant Özge UÇAR demonstrated the methods and stages of breast self-examination on the model, while simultaneous sign language interpretation was provided by sign language instructor Merve UĞURLU. The event was concluded by answering the questions of the participants.
