The Current Approaches and Artificial Intelligence in the Care and Management of Gynecological Cancers Symposium was Held.

During the Cancer Week activities held from 1-7 April to emphasize the importance of gynecological cancers due to the increasing prevalence of cancer diagnosis and deaths caused by cancer, the Symposium on Current Approaches and Artificial Intelligence in the Care and Management of Gynecological Cancers was conducted online on 19 April 2024 in collaboration with Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences and School of Health Services. The place of gynecological cancers in women's health is undeniably important, and this symposium brought together many experts in the field in a multidisciplinary context to develop solutions focused on improving and sustaining prevention, early diagnosis and screenings, symptom management, and palliative care and management in light of artificial intelligence and technology.

 

Our symposium, which started with the opening speeches of our Vice Rector and Symposium President Prof. Dr. Sevim ÇELİK and the Director of the School of Health Services Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif KARAHAN, was attended by Prof. Dr. Oya KAVLAK from Ege University, Prof. Dr. Semra KOCAÖZ from Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meltem MECDİ KAYDIRAK from Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa,Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre ÇİYDEM from Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, Specialist Dr. Kaan Eray UZUN from Bartın State Hospital, and Specialist Nurse Mehtap GÖK from Trakya University Health Research and Application Center. Two sessions were held with more than 200 participants in a national context.

 

Within the scope of these sessions; Current Approaches and Artificial Intelligence in the Care and Management of Endometrial Cancer, Current Approaches and Artificial Intelligence in the Care and Management of Ovarian Cancer, Current Approaches and Artificial Intelligence in the Care and Management of Cervical Cancer, Current Approaches and Artificial Intelligence in the Psychosocial Management of Gynecological Cancers, Current Approaches and Artificial Intelligence in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Gynecological Cancers, and the importance of Current Approaches and Artificial Intelligence in the Care and Management of Gynecological Cancers were discussed.

 

Finally, Asst. Prof. Dr. Burcu KÜÇÜKKAYA, who made the Symposium Closing Speech, thanked to our Vice Rector and Symposium Chair Prof. Dr. Sevim ÇELİK, and the Director of the School of Health Services Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif KARAHAN for their support in organizing the symposium, all the speakers who participated in our symposium, all the participants who supported us with their active participation, all the organizing committee members who contributed to the organization of the symposium, and the administrative staff, and hope to meet again at our next symposium.
